The world, one country at a time, one hand impression at a time. Together, we are "Impressions of Humanity.”
Impressions of Humanity is creating an unparalleled masterpiece that captures the diversity of cultures from all 193 countries around the globe. At least 3,000 participants from all walks of life, backgrounds, and ages are invited to contribute their hand impressions in each country. Three 9' x 5' canvases will be used per country. Each participant's hand will be painted with acrylic colors. As participants imprint their hands on the canvas, their names, a photograph, and a short film clip documenting their participation are collected. All the canvasses from around the globe will be brought together, with photos, and documentaries as a colossal museum exhibit. Museum guests will find the names and pictures of themselves, friends, and family who participated in the project.
The panels created through this project are more than just art; they are historical documents of humanity's diversity and unity. These panels will never be sold, highlighting the project's commitment to preserving the integrity and communal essence of the artwork.
The Artwork Unfolds
Each nation is represented by three panels. One panel features hand impressions arranged to form each country's flag. The next two panels are created in a free-form style, allowing hand impressions without any specific pattern. Twenty (20) countries have participated in this artistic journey, contributing to the free-form panels. Among these participating countries, five have completed their flag panels.
